Royel Otis

Royel Otis is an Australian guitar-pop group consisting of Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic. The Sydney-based duo, formerly from Byron Bay, came together in 2019 after Pavlovic sent Maddell some demos, sparking their collaboration, seeing the release of debut EP, Campus, in October 2021, followed by Bar & Grill in August 2022. Their third EP, Sofa Kings, dropped in March 2023, reaching number 43 on the ARIA charts after its physical release in July 2023. This EP earned a nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2023 ARIA Music Awards with single “Kool Aid” receiving a nomination for the Australian Video of the Year at the J Awards. In February 2024, the group released their debut studio album Pratts and Pain preceded by lead single "Heading for the Door."
