Nora Gubisch
Mezzo-soprano Nora Gubisch, revealed at the Aix-en-Provence Festival with her role in Jacques Offenbach's Hélène , has established herself on the international stage as one of the most promising French singers of her generation. Trained on the piano by Catherine Collard, this accomplished musician and actress shines in all operatic registers. In addition to her Wagnerian roles, she performs Verdi, Mozart, Bartok and Britten with ease, and records contemporary works by Pascal Dusapin(Perelà), Thierry Escaich(Les Nuits hallucinées in 2008) and Michael Tippett(A Child of Our Time). In 2011, the wife of pianist and conductor Alain Altinoglu was awarded an Orphée d'or for the cycle of Mélodies by Henri Duparc recorded with her husband.
